Postcard from Rita's Molly

Molly is doing fabulous. She is our family member along with Woody and Carmen and has adapted perfectly (although a bit stubborn at times). We are blessed with an acre of land so the dogs have room to run and at night they of course sleep in the home where they also have free reign.

Thanks!

Let me know what else I can do.

Postcard from Rita's Hugo

Hugo is doing fantastic! He has a playmate by the name of Tobi, she is a 14 year old Lab-Boxer rescue. They get along great and are inseparable. Our back yard is about a 1/4 of an acre and Tobi and Hugo have access to all of it. Hugo has seen one of the best hip specialists in our area for his hip dysplasia. He is on vitamin supplements and he is on a strict diet to keep him healthy and comfortable. He also goes back on a regular basis so that we can monitor his condition. He has been a great addition to our family and gets constant attention by either Stacey, myself or our two kids. I have attached a couple of pictures of Hugo and Tobi. Thank you to all of you for what you do and keep up the great work!

Simba, Bailey & Mocha Are On The Way

And our team is headed out to get them!

Postcard from Maggie's Bingo

Bingo, now Hunter, is doing great! He is so comfortable here that it feels like he has been with us forever! We noticed right away how hungry he acts, and it looks like he was seriously malnourished. He is also very small for his age (approx. 2), so we don't know if that is a Taiwanese trait of the Goldens, or if it is due to continued malnutrition for his formative years. We have taken Hunter for walks and he loves going to the kids' school when it is time to pick them up. He gets lots of love and hugs from the children there. He is so calm, we are just amazed! I will enclose a picture of him in our yard-this was about 15 minutes after we arrived home, and he is so comfortable already! Any information about Bingo (Hunter)that we can get from Maggie would be greatly appreciated. We are all very curious about his past, and just wondering about his life before we met him.

Thanks again,
Kathy

Maggie's Bingo adopted!

The Pellissier family hit the jackpot yesterday afternoon when they chose Maggie's Bingo to become part of their life. Bingo came out of the kennel and jumped right up on the porch at West Wind to snuggle in next to 13 year-old Samantha. That secured the first of four cards he was after. Then he went to work on 9 year-old Garrett, quickly making the kids a done deal. Mom and Dad were also taken by his sweet, calm nature, giving Bingo the four aces he was hoping for. Into the SUV he went, all a-wag, headed for life in a new home with two and a half acres attached.

Bingo sends his deepest thanks to Maggie and her rescue team in Taiwan for saving his life and opening up new possibilities for him, and to Barbara D. for coordinating with Maggie to bring Bingo westward. The Welcome Waggin team gets big kisses for being there to greet him, letting him stretch his legs and romp a bit, then assuring him of a nice place to spend the night. The IE/SGV team took it from there as Jennifer G. took care of his vet needs, Pat J. got more photos and videos of him, Julie's dog walking group gave him some welcome exercise, and Jo B facilitated the adoption. Many thanks to all.

Update from Lily (formerly Rita's Angelina)

Lily is such a sweet dog and has become a wonderful addition to our family. She adores our 35lb Golden Doodle, Claude, and they play beautifully together. She has been with us since the 8th of May. She had arrived in LA a week before and was barely weighing 40lbs. She now weighs 60lbs and we hope she will lose a few pounds. She loves her food!

You may tell her Taiwan family that she is a very happy girl and we feel very lucky to have her!

Warm wishes,
Ann
