Hi Folks,
Mom and Dad (Margie and Ralph) picked me up yesterday in Culver City - what a surprise! More surprises when I arrived at 611 Kings Place - Dublin greeted me - I am not sure whether I was ready for company right away - but I really didn't pay much attention to him because everything is so new.
After learning the ways of the house and yard (very inviting I must say, nice wallpaper), Dad and I ran around the back yard and Dad through the ball, but I am not sure what I'm supposed to do with it yet. They didn't have toys and balls in Taiwan. But I am willing to learn. I am only 5 years old and have plenty of time.
Dublin - mister goof ball - showed up again at the gate. We got to know each other and ran and ran and ran around the yard - Dad said to watch out for the blueberries - whatever they are. Then Dublin put his feet in the pool, then his body - well that looked pretty good, so I laid down and put my paws in and then my mouth, and then sliddddddddd my body in - WOW! Was I in heaven - all those skin allergies that I have from the humidity in Taiwan have really got me scratching, so I just laid on the top step of pool - boy did that feel good!
Dad got up early this morning - a little early for me - I'm still on Taiwan time - and we went for a walk and run. Mom and me are on the same schedule - lay around for a while. then see what the day has in store for us. There is soooooooo much to learn - I heard them talking about a trainer or school (my English isn't really that good yet) so I guess it will be gradual.
I really like my food and a few treats and the hardwood floors are nice and cool on my bod and I am gradually getting to know my parents. They like to walk alot, so that's good. Met a few neighbors this morning with Mom, but she said we will take it slow. They want me to hop into a round thing they call a dog bed (no good translation) - I don't know what to do with that either.
Thank God for the people at Golden Retriever Rescue and the nice people at the Culver Palms Animal Hospital they are so loving and kind.
Signing off for now - WOOF and looking forward to meeting you,
Finnegan Deppisch (formally Pudding)

Rita's Pudding adopted!
Congratulations to Rita's Pudding, who found his forever home with Mary and Ralph.
Pudding was initially abandoned and found by a rescue group, and later was abandoned by that group with over 100 other dogs. He found his way to Rita and MJ and the start of his new life at the end of last year. Pudding had a lot of skin problems that were exacerbated by the humid climate in Taiwan. Rita asked if we would take Pudding, and of course we said yes! He made his way to California at the end of May and has been patiently waiting for his forever family.
Mary and Ralph have thought a Golden would be a good addition to their family and contacted us. When we told them about Pudding, his skin/allergy problems didn't phase them and they eagerly set up an appointment to meet him. And as soon as they arrived, Pudding jumped into Mary's arm and told her how much he wanted to go home! He is doing great and they ADORE him! Everyone in the neighborhood asks about him and comments on how handsome he is. Pudding, Mary and Ralph feel so lucky they found each other.
Pudding thanks Rita and MJ for finding him, getting him well and sending him to us and the Welcome Waggin' for being there to greet him when he arrived at LAX. He thanks the CP Dog Walking Team for taking him out and spending time with him every day, and Leslie for doing the home visit that set all this in motion. He is grateful to the placement team and PA Eva for finding him this awesome family, and Paul S. for introducing him to his new people. Pudding's new name will be Finnegan, and attached is a going-home photo.
